About Halric
From you hear the voice and you feel the aura, you know seh a Halric a represent. Halric BPM!
For me, BPM isn’t just “beats per minute” — it stands for Beats, Passion, Message. The beats are the foundation of everything I create, the passion is what keeps me pushing forward no matter the obstacles, and the message is what I hope stays with you long after the music stops.
I’ve been in love with music since I was a kid — playing guitar and congo drums back in primary school, jamming with my high school band, and recording little guitar riffs on my phone before I even knew what a DAW was. In 2019, I discovered FL Studio, and that was it — I was hooked. With nothing but my school laptop, my mom’s radio hooked up by an aux cable, and later an old TV speaker, I started making beats.
By 2021, I uploaded my first beats online and made my very first sale. That moment showed me this dream could be real. From there, I connected with independent artists all over, especially in the hip hop and rap scene, and slowly started building my sound across different genres — R&B, reggae, afrobeats, indie rock, jazz influences, and more.
I always had a voice, but I didn’t always believe in it. In 2022, I took a leap and released some songs of my own. The love and feedback I got was amazing — even though at the time, I doubted myself as an artist. For a while I focused just on production, but in 2024 something shifted. I had the honor of producing and singing on Wake Up Jamaica, a project in partnership with Wake Up Jamaica and the Rita Marley Foundation. That experience reminded me that I wasn’t just a producer — I had something to say too.
So in 2025, I stepped back out as an artist with new purpose. My first single of the year, Father Lead Di Way, dropped on my birthday — just one day after I performed it live at Bob Marley’s 80th birthday celebration. That moment felt like the true beginning of my artist journey.
My mission is simply to inspire. To help people push past doubt, stay God-led, and believe their dreams are worth investing in. My songs are about keeping it real and creating something you can truly feel — music that carries a positive vibration.
This journey is still being written, and I’d love for you to be part of it.
